There are some growers in the NW TX Panhandle who have started no-tilling corn on corn for the past 4 to 5 years. Mostly switched to no-till, as a response to dwindling well capacities. Their results have been very good, for the amount of water that they have, in comparison to conventional tillage & somewhat better than strip tilling.

That would be my focus for going to straight no till. Try and conserve as much water as possible. But I have had real good success with strip till.
