Is a person legally obligated to have a mail box if they have a fire number?
Not here. Every residence/business must have a 911 number, but the mailbox is personal choice. If no mailbox, or if mailbox is not next to the driveway, A number has to be prominently posted by the drive.
What does not make sense to me is that delivery to a mailbox is free, but a P.O. box is only available for a price. It seems backwards. You should have to pay extra to have your mail delivered to you, not the other way around.
