I see the name plate on the 856 says "Custom" but I've never heard of it before...........what makes it a "Custom"
“Custom” was a misnomer of sorts. IH and Oliver (perhaps others) used the label to denote stripped down lower cost versions of some models that were pressured by other brands that either were lower priced or fell between two models horsepower wise. Differences were things like no or one remote valve, smaller fuel tanks, no battery covers, low end seats, no tilt steering wheel, etc.
