| Good used Phantom 3 advanced or pros can be found for sub $500 - $600 on ebay or local classifieds with all kinds of extras. Guys in town buy them and realize they never get a chance to fly them. Kind of like us when we go buy a boat or jet ski or motorcycle or somethin and later realize that you should have put that money towards your sprayer since that’s the only machine you’re using when it’s nice out, ha! Good to learn on one you’re not as worried about crashing. If you’re going for one in price range you stated, i’d let him pick it out though and let him research pros and cons of owning each one. Phantoms can do great things on the farm and can handle wind better however, Mavic and Mavic air are super portable. I don’t know much about mavic range but you want a pro or advanced phantom, your range is far greater. | |
