number one make sure you have a market for it. June may be a little early for it to be planted. here it's the fourth of July crop. Combines easy but lot of green stuff. half the kernals will be black the other half green to brown Put it in a drying bin Immediately or it will heat .keep the air temp low. Will mature as it drys. Never windrowed here direct cut. Was a good double crop behind late wheat here ,Plant the first week of August always made a crop but market went away.

Oh and be ready next year for a solid stand of volunteers. And a hard rain in the fall will knock it off the stalk.
