Subject: RE: zero turn mowers

I do some commercial mowing and currently have a Scag Turf Tiger. I can steer the two levers with one hand around trees if necessary on fairly level to slightly rolling ground, if having to push limbs out of the way. The better zero turns will have decks suspended with chains and spring loaded that results in a floating deck, of course the decks are still heaver than a regular mower. The wheels should only be needed to keep the deck from scalping high spots on a floating deck. Doing hillsides will take some practice since the hydraulics are your brakes.
