Subject: Tounge on the smoker-good stuff...

South cental Ohio
Wife put a couple beef roasts on the smoker this morning and there was some room left so I took a 10 year old beef tounge out of the freezer and put it on the smoker, never thawed it or seasoned it or anything. I figured the dogs would enjoy it if nothing else. Several hours later, she got her meat and I cut into that tounge to see what was smelling so good LOL and OMG !!!! All I'm saying is that for 10 year old meat, no seasoning, threw on a smoker and left there for a few hours, that thing was delicious ! I sprinkled a tad of salt on it and ate the thing ( of course I only ate the inside of it- not the skin) . For all the people that say how gross that tounge, heart, or other parts of the cow that I grew up on because my mom fixed it..... don't have a clue what they are missing. Let the others eat their McDonalds and other crap....if they knew just what that meat was and how it came to be on a bun, I don't think they'd eat it.
