Subject: Anybody heard about verizon eliminating sub-4G service for corrective guidance?

South Central MN
Had our Agleader guidance rep out today. He says in 2020 that Verizon is dropping any service below 4g, and that is essentially making all of our current RTK-capable equipment obsolute and worthless. We currently have 2 integras, 1 insight, 2 paradymes, and 1 geosteer. He says that our current equipment is pretty much worthless from a trade in standpoint because it isn't going to be RTK capable after 2020. While we realize that this isn't specifically agleader's fault, we are very frustrated that we are going to have to replace all of our systems to get back to RTK.

He mentioned a digifarm solution that uses their network and provides a separate modem that would still provide the RTK signal required for our equipment, but its sounds like there are expensive annual subscriptions.

Does anybody have any converter that'll convert Verizon's 4G signal down to a 1X or 2G signal that is useable by our legacy equipment? We are very frustrated at this point. This looks like a very expensive change being pushed by Verizon.
