| PNM, I have used laptops outdoors for many years, unfortunately I don't know of any laptop that is easily read outdoors. When you use yours, do you have it plugged in to power? If it is not plugged in, laptop screens generally have a low power setting to conserve power, which makes the screen harder to read in outdoor light. You can fix that by changing the power setting for it in the Control Panel. The only other option for outdoor viewing would be to search around for some type of hood. I know they were offered years ago, but don't know how popular they are any more. If nothing else, you could fashion your own using stiff cloth and some velcro strips. Even cutting down a little light from the side would help. | |
