I've been fooled by a fresh paint job several times, so my advice would be to paint it!

Seriously, if the deck is shot replace that at the very least. When people buy something, more often than not it is "new to them", so they are looking for something usable once they get it, not a project.

I've never lost money by painting a piece of equipment I've sold, for what it is worth. Equipment trailers are easy to paint too, not like a car, truck, or tractor..........
