Bought a 10 gallon pasteurizer in 2012. Paid for itself in about a year. Have had less than 1% mortality since then. Calves grow better on whole milk than any of the replacers we used. We do not add any supplements.
Normally we do not have enough treated milk, so I dump milk from the highest SCC cows. That keeps our SCC low so that we get the maximum premiums.
