Subject: RE: 2000 Volvo truck gauge problems

NE Iowa
I've been in several 90's vintage Volvo trucks with that problem...hitting bumps will make gauges jump and even set off low fluid alarms and such. Sometimes tapping on the gauge cluster helps. Just taps though, had one driver break the glass cause he was mad that the speedometer quit. Never encountered an engine cutout from one though, maybe its signaling a derate or limp function when the gauges go funky. Probably will require a complete gauge cluster to fix it right.
