Vermont, IL | I put one of these http://www.dartcontrols.com/product-guide/programmable-tachometers/ on my grain leg years ago. Has worked flawlessly. The nominal speed of my leg is about 86-88 RPMs and I have it programmed to shut off anything feeding it if it drops below 84 RPMs. IIRC there are both NO and NC outputs which can open any holding circuit you have it wired to. Once the RPM drop has passed you can manually restart the feeding auger. I suppose you could wire it to automatically restart, but that may not be the best practice. | |
