Subject: RE: Bean Yields In SWMO-SEKS-NEOK??

Southeastern Kansas
Our last goood crop of beans was in 1997. First crop beans planted in May are 0 to 15 bu maybe. Will cut part of the field and leave some too. Double crop after wheat looks to be a bit better maybe 5 bu/ac. Our area is approaching 13" behind normal for the year. It is so discouraging when looking at Tulsa Arpt averages and Wichita Arpt averages as they are only a few inches below normal. How can it only rain on an airport? Wheat going into dust, and in the 90's tomorrow. I told an older fellow yesterday that I will admit quite openly if and when I am wrong but I think this global warming thing has us by the short and curlys and no one can do a thing about it.
