Nusbaum Farms LLC Bellfountain, OR | If all he's going to do is feed with it, the HFWD should be OK, not as positive as a MFWD, though. I'd shy away from one as a heavy tillage tractor due to the oil heating issue and lack of hydraulic efficiency. One other thing to consider, when the 4440 is considered a "classic" in a few years, a HFWD model will be fairly uncommon, as I don't think there were too many built. Might be worth some extra $$$ then.
