We had a drought here last year too, and in the end I easily beat my 10 crop insurance averages.    Things looked so bad in early July I would have bet we don't take the combines out of the shed, and we still got a crop.    I'm not sure a drought makes much difference except you get a normal crop instead of one that's over the top.
