| Well, sonny.....just kidding. Your friends aren't saddled with the property tax bills that farmers, here in Nebraska anyway, are. I will gladly pay $80,000 in income tax on a W2 as long as I pay no property tax on any business assets such as land and machinery. As for the other poster talking about risk management, have you seen your crop insurance guarantees lately? Or are you sitting on several hundred acres of paid for land? Got to be 1 or the other. No disrespect but times are tough depending on what part of the country your in.
