a non-opening skylight was installed here 25 years ago....no leaks. Attic was "boxed in" from roof to ceiling of Kitchen & painted white on the inside. added a lot of light to the kitchen.
An oak-framed "window" mount on hinges on one long side...latchbolts on the other, fits the trim on the ceiling-covered with clear plastic-keeps heat-loss to a minimum works well
