I think you can tell Outlook which email boxes to grab. It might be set to get "all" mail off the server, which would include any junk/spam boxes. Try changing it to just your primary Inbox. I don't have Outlook in front of me to see where this is set, but from memory I think it's in Options > Email Setup, or something like that.
