central mo | I think PC power supplies have a rating on them that tells you how long they are supposed to keep the PC on during a power outage before the PC will die or until a UPS will take over. It sounds like your power supply doesn't keep the PC on long enough for the UPS to take over. As weird as it sounds, there is actually a period of time during a power loss that power is indeed completely lost from your PC ... You may look into a different power supply or even look into another UPS that has an even smaller switch time.
This is just my limited knowledge of UPS's. I dont claim to know that much about them.
