Chebanse, IL..... | I've got a Belkin UPS on a computer, flat screen monitor & external HD. It's probably only a yr old or so. But, for some reason, when the power blips, the computer blips off with it & shuts down, though it's plugged into the UPS ac outlet. The monitor is on another outlet of the UPS. There's 4 outlets marked UPS/Surge, then 2 more marked surge protection only. When the power blips (ice storm in NE IL), the monitor stays on just fine, but the computer cuts out immediately! The UPS does OK on self test. So-why should the computer be shutting down? I don't mean in a few minutes, I mean in a few nano-seconds!! Is this computer just super-sensitive? Omar, I suspect this is where you chime in w/your usual observation of my hard luck! Thanks |
