It is above the waterline, gradually sloping to the pond, but it could have some ups and downs in the pond. I'm not concerned with water in the pump, but thinking it may be hard to blow it back out through tiny orifices. A shut-off valve may be my best option, but it will have to be near the pump as I'm burying the line.
Any physicists on here or just us grease monkeys?
