Its all coming apart for sure to find issue. Have a short block ready to go in from my 60 thats apart already. Should have the 55 back up by weekend if I can get the machine shop to finish the head for the 60 engine.
I have the 60 engine on my rebuild table now. I couldn't find the line up marks for the slip of the cam gear on it but I didn't look very hard. Should I pull the timing cover back off and weld the cam gear or just leave it alone. These are bone stock motors. It had a cracked head from asperator failure. Bearings were all fine. Had one cylinder that failed leak test so u pulled motor. Had a bad cam lobe as well. Crank and rods were perfect, still standard. | |
