Doing all that indoors? Wouldn’t that smoke quite a bit?



I cook steak this way when I don't want to fire up the grill.

I use lots of salt instead of oil so it doesn't smoke so much. Use larger sized salt crystals and liberally sprinkle the bottom of the pan before you throw the steak on. I use big kosher salt or the fancy pink Himalayan(sp?) crystals. It makes a beautiful crust on the steak.
