Owings, Maryland 38.6856 N 76.6752 W | Don't have any experience with those openers, actually it is the first time I have seen them. Would be helpful to know how much offset you can get away from the row, from just looking at your pic in a blown up version I am going to say "not enough".
Myself, I like an independent fertilizer opener, the unit mount is one more attachment helping to dictate your actual planting depth, you also get more disturbance in front of the seed opener and gauge wheels.
These are just my personal preferences, I want the seed openers and gauge wheels on undisturbed ground, I have a fertilizer opener on each side of the row just outside of the gauge wheels. Again, it is just what I think works best "here"............................ O&O, Joe |
