Basically you are saying you trust wince more than winxp. The farmscan2 takes over screen when it is run so that there are no other processes running. you can't run other programs except the ones integrated into farmscan. You don't have to worry about the memory leakage issue. So your concerned failures are no more likely with xp processing commands than with ce. I suppose you could introduce a virus, but thats about it.
Farmscan does the same tasks as far as I know. It has its own mapping which may not be as standardized.. The graphics aren't as nice on the farmscan,but that is by design so it doesn't require as much memory.Their steering capabilities and limitations are similar from what I have been told.
