East central MN | I would be willing to bet that your environmental fee wasn't for throwing away your nail away. If you had the tire patched it was for the disposal of the rag and liquid tire buffer he used. If you buy liquid tire buffer that has certain chemicals in it you are required to hire proper disposal such as having a hazardous waste disposal company pick it up. Rags have to be contained in a sealed container same as empty buffer cans. Don't ask me how I know. IF someone turns you into Pollution control you find out the hard way... $12 dollars to patch a tire is plenty cheap so I wouldn't complain on the charge. | |
