Like others have said, the people in countries with currency issues are not going to adopt some virtual and unstable currency. Absolutely not going to happen - it will be barter or something more stable like the dollar if they can get them. What will happen is some folks will get on board and lose a bunch of money. I think they would be better off with alpaca's or emu's (or similar get rich scheme).
For a currency to work it needs to have some sort of backing. Bitcoin doesn't appear to have this. Also, I've heard the phrase "bitcoin mining" for several years wondering what it means. Sounds like potential theft and certainly a poor investment. But hey people threw millions at dot com companies in the 80's that were little more than 2 guys in a room with a PC.
