Subject: Ag Leader Mapping not that close, test weights??

NW Iowa

I have been struggling with this for 3 years now.  We make very nice yield maps on a 2366 CIH with a field installed Ag Leader yield mapping kit and and inSight display.  We calibrate it exactly how we are supposed to each year, Moisture, Temp, Mass Flow Vibration calibrations and then at least 5 weight calibrations with a weigh wagon, at varying speeds.  We can do it all but at the end of the season it never meets up with the actual scale tickets from our local cooperative.

This year we had insane test weights averaging around 60lbs/bushel for corn, not 56 like the monitor thinks.  I found a place in the monitor where you can set the actual test weight.  Could this be why the yield average on the display is not matching our scale tickets?  I feel like it has to be, but does this mean we should be changing this test weight value every year in the inSight display to match??  If anyone has had luck with this please let me know, I just want to be consistent year to year.

Thank you!
