WC Illinois
Coup Ive seen the numbers you use for figuring inputs or more importantly the lack there of. If thats what works for you good for you. In the end I have more costs I guess. I buy crop insurance and liability insurance. I have to figure in something for drying a crop and I don't have a bunch of empty bins sitting around for extra storage for crops from a farm i havent even rented yet. Non gmo corn around here will drop ears from corn borer pressure and won't stand to 15% very long without fungicide which is another cost. I don't own my own tiling equipment so I have to figure that as a cost. I figure my times worth something just because I don't want to work for nothing and don't expect anybody else to either. To each their own and every farms different but it seems like you omit alot of fixed costs that almost every farm has to get a stir out of people on here.
