Thumb of Michigan | My Dad didn't have a lot of guns, but the ones he had were kept pretty nice.
The bigger stuff (I know, all relative) were given to a son and his sons. Some 12 ga shotguns, and some deer rifles. 30-30 and 30-06. I kept one 12 ga, a new Mossberg Defender thats never been fired. I have a bad neck and shoulders are getting bad, I just can't comfortably shoot a 12 ga or a deer rifle anymore. Hoping the next generations get some enjoyment out of them.
I did also keep my Dads .410. A Stephens single shot. Its not a collectible gun, don't think it was an expensive gun new. It was my Dads though. A good friend of mine refinishes guns, he put this one back to like new condition. Wasn't bad to begin with, but its very nice now. It wouldn't have been cost effective if it didn't hold any sentimental value to refinish it. | |
