South West MN | I say go for it. If you can make money hauling feed and bedding to cattle everyday, I will make a killing.
There are ways to have more cattle on less ground that don't involve a building.
Turn the home 1/4 into a cattle ranch, corn ain't worth anything anyways.
50 acres hay (graze after first cutting) 50 acres cerial rye (graze) plant to sorgum/Sudan (graze) 50 acres corn ( graze stalks in winter) you will need more stalks so save feed cost.
Winter cows outside, calf in May (no shed).
