Subject: Cow/calf Buildings

NW Iowa
I've read a few threads on here about cow/calf Buildings/confinements. Seems like most are against them, but I'm looking for the opportunity to expand a little (or a lot) but there is basically no pasture ground available around here. Buildings seem to be the next most economical plan.

I'm particularly wondering about building cost themselves per head, how many square ft you are running and how it's working out. I'll probably end up starting off on a small scale building to see how it works, but would like to have 4-500 under roof to make things work at some point.

Any tips or pointers that would help along the way would also be appreciated. Running all pasture cows now so I know it will be a different ball game.
