Yes they matter. We look at the $ on the angus side too. Easy calving, low milk cost, high weaning weight with superior carcass quality. Needs to be docile too.
Be nice to see before buy. More of ours will come from serious small producers than big. Most those guys don't have a name yet.
Cow size needs to be Inline with ours, moderate in that case.
Takes both a cow and a bull so the top semen doesn't always work and a lot of top semen is average.
MA covered it pretty well too. We have lots of bulls that make it to 7 or 8. 2 breeding seasons and expected to cover 50+ per year.
