Subject: RE: Livestock loan

Southwest MN
I did my first ewes in 3 years had 2 years of bad/poor prices afterwards. They were $250 back then. That was with ewe lambs the first year and retaining all ewe lambs in year 2 and buying 30 additional more ewe lambs at $250. First year was tight due to trying to grow. But would say 5 years if you can't make something pay with out keeping enough to cover feed find a different species. Buildings if the livestock can't pay for it with all extra profits in 10 years need to change things up. As you are trying to. Build equity. Just my thoughts. Others will be much different.
