Central Illinois
Same issue here, used a Verizon MiFi card for $$$$ for some time. I actually switched to Sprint unlimited and hotspot off my phone when on my computer. Things like Netflix, Hulu, etc. (or anything else I can do on my iPhone I do). Contract says after 10g of hotspot or 25g of cell data they can throttle my speeds back. Largest usage is 98g in one month and haven't had a slow down yet.

Looked at Hughes, hardware purchase seemed pretty expensive. With Rise, I was 5.93 miles from the closest radio and could not get a reliable signal. Would be interested to know if Hughes works well...Sprint is working, but not ideal.
