Subject: RE: sum in libre calc for one item that exists in a column

East central Iowa

SUMIFS works in LibreCalc.  I wanted to look at some 8000 records and there are two types of records, one is income and the other is expense.

After using the SUMIF I discovered the SUMIFS function and while it's not as easy as Foxpro it does work to sum the amount spent to a particular business while excluding income from that business.

I still like my database much better though.  I believe you have to use a table of some sort to list all the records that match the criteria.

In Foxpro I can look at the information 3 different ways, display, list or browse.

For example;  brow fields amount, chkdate, paidto, checknum for "coop"$paidto

that will give me a spreadsheet type display or I could list that to print or even make a report with a similar command.

At any rate I am happy and thankful for the information because Foxpro doesn't run on Windows 10 64 bit.
