A buddy of mine collects IH combines, he once picked up a 1680 with a 30 ft 1020 head for a little over $6000. Had a bad PTO off of the motor so he put another $1000 into it in parts and he has a good working combine with decent capacity. Around here the dealers don't want to take old combines like that in on trade so you can get some deals if a salesman is stuck with some old iron that he dosent think he can move.
