I have been offered a tip many times over the last 32 years and always refuse. I am there because it is my job and I am paid to be there. Appreciation is all that I expect. I have had a few that just had to have you out right now (after hours, over the weekend, etc) then not do a darn thing until Monday or the next day. That's what makes my blood boil sometimes. Less inclined to bend over backwards for those. I always remember the ones who are appreciative, no matter what time of day it is.
