Getting dinged this year on splits at the elevator. Never been an issue before. Thinking all the rain after the beans were mature is making them easier to split.

Anything more to try. Cylinder is at 6.5, speed around 630rpm, no reverser bars. Stock rotor. Opened cylinder to 6.5 from 6 helped get them down to 10%, this morning, last load yesterday was 16% splits. Moisture 12.5.

Think yo uhave a elevator who is trying to make a buck where they shouldn't, Around here they have to get much higher for them to dock (at least in years past). That being said a split is harder to keep in the combine obviously.

Sounds like it may be the nature of the beast for you this year. I was always taught speed cracks, So i guess if you can handle the slower ground speed that a slower rotor speed will probably require i would start there. I have only done a few, but was running 430 on a r62, but it was probably too slow for the conditions and i do have a PFP rotor, so that may make a little difference
