Brown Box's are not a touch screen and are not supported by deere anymore. A 1800 is still supported by deere and are not a touch screen but a step up from the brown box because an 1800 has a bigger screen. abilty to have more activatons for different tasks such as row sense for the corn head or section conrtol for the planter. A 2600 is not supported by john deere anymore but it is a 10" touch screen. John Deere only makes a 1800, 2630(dont quote me on that), and the new 4640.
If your tractor is auto steer ready you will just need to plug the monitor and globe in and away you go. If you want something still supported by deere i would go with the 1800 and find a used Starfire 3000. The monitor and the globe both have to have their OWN activation. So the brown box would still need the mobile processor and SF1 key card.
