Hate to say it, but during my time at the fuel distributor, we never did find a clear plastic product that could handle diesel fuel and sunlight long-term. Everything will get brittle, discolor, or both. Hence the popularity of Krueger gauges or Clock-Face gauges.
Industrial tank level sight gauges at work are almost always high-temp glass mounted in a heavily reinforced stainless housing. Depending on tank size, a typical one can run over $2,000.
