Some tractors just aren't meant to be boosted much. Cooling capacity was made for X amount horsepower. Not another 50. Can't fix that with a tune or a box. Have boxes on our 7088 combine and 530 Steiger. What happens when your ECM craps out. Do they retune it for free? Probably not
I’m glad you touch on tractor cooling capacity as in the semi world hardly ever an issue. If you pick a half decent company to work with they have (1) fee re-tune. The amount of ECM’s that fail is very low no matter what people say Iv flashed more then I can count not a single failure. The only single benefit from a plug in style is better atomization, why not add to the benefits on top of that and it’s almost always cheaper? Your opertunties in a flash from (Emission off, etc etc) on top of a finer refinement is unbeatable. But each to there own. |
