Subject: RE: Kids and activities

SW Minnesota
Ours did three sports all the way through high school:
Daughter : Volley Ball, Basket ball & Softball
Son: wrestling football& and baseball Last two years trap replaced base ball which was less time but then he picked up FFA Meat judging.
They were both good students in High school and now college. My daughter is in Medical school now. Both were in National Honor Society. Sure they could have done more on the farm if they weren't in sport sand the activities. Going to their activities cut into my farming time too. They both did field work and loaded pigs at 5:00 am before school 50 mornings a year. I think that the activities were as important as the farm work in making them the individuals they are.
