SE SD | Is the equity position in these new barns (once they're paid for), really that great? I mean it's a $800,000+ investment that is worth at least 30% less the day the first pig walks in. The OP already has older barns that help pay off the new one faster, so it makes much more sense for his operation. But for anyone just getting into it the first time, it's not that great of an ROI, or is it? Just curious is all...seems like all these big companies want to do is use your cash, or equity in order to get dirt cheap labor and rent on the building. If there was money in these barns, why wouldn't they (big companies) build them? People that already have paid for barns, then absolutely I see the value, as you can pay off the new barn sooner. | |
