Subject: Manure and cover crops

NC, IA 50653
I have the option to put on manure from a hog site down the road... problem is I have just flown on a cc mix of cereal rye, common vetch, and rape. The applicator is using a thin knife with closing disc. I could definitely use all the manure I can get for this ground but how much do you think it will hurt the cc if we apply in the fall? Would it be any better to apply in the spring or worse with more root mass?? This is on bean stubble going into corn.
