Idaho | What they didn't change was any attempt to improve the grain saving capability of the machine. Warped grates, out of round cylinders, tapered cylinders, wrapping main beaters, stepped straw walkers, ill designed separator fans all standard equipment. It took a farmer, Ray Sickle, from Colfax WA. to figure out how to make them thresh, save grain and get a decent sample. Just get 'em out the door and paint it green. Then they got confused and put the engine on the wrong end!!!!
Every region is different but here IH and Gleaner had far superior design and workmanship. | |
