perryton, tx | 1000 miles from you but ears I recently weighed are in the same neighborhood, 275-325 grams at full dent. Kernel counts average roughly 34-38X16, although had a 32X20 and a 46X12 in the same sample. I don't try to use the ear weights to make any kind of accurate yield prediction but just to compare to years past. In my experience when they're getting up in the 300 gram neighborhood it's pretty good corn. | |
