If you're looking for freebie methods you can import a completed orthomosaic from DD into google earth pro (its free). From there you could drop pins and assign them ABC....123... whatever it may be. You can export that as a kml or shapefile with the attributes you added I believe. I can play around with it if I get a chance and work up a flow chart if it would help.
