I'm assuming the usb to floppy interface is quite simple. I don't see any reason it won't work on any version of Windows, or even mac for that matter. The O/S will only see a usb device that has storage, same as a usb stick. My main question is how is the floppy drive powered? I can't see usb being strong enough to run it, so this thing must have an external power supply. I think your biggest concern is whether any of your floppies are still readable to make the whole exercise a success. I copied all the floppy install disks I had to a hard drive years ago. Never looked at them again, but I can run Word Perfect 5.0 for DOS if I ever want to. |
